Octagon mosaic tile floor in bathroom of west Manchester, NH new home for sale

Mosaic tile became popular in 1920s with Art Deco influence in American Architecture. And still today, in modern New construction, bathroom floors are adorned with same tile patterns, shapes and sizes.

This west Manchester, New Hampshire home was built in 2023 with an octagon mosaic tile floor for bathroom installed by us.

We installed this mosaic tile floor over quarter inch cement board. That was then coated in a liquid anti-fracture membrane. With a second application applied for water resistance. Being the bathroom was on a second floor. To combat any possibility of a leak causing a problem to subfloor, floor joist framing, or ceiling underneath.

Amherst, New Hampshire white subway tile shower with black grout torn out and re-done

Everybody is human. Mistakes happen. But, we can help fix it.  We were called to quote removal of white subway tile shower with black grout. Done by a design/install team in Amherst, New Hampshire.  The grout color choice only highlighted the inconsistent lines of tile spacing by previous installer. Which, for setting all the tile pieces in just one day. Wasn't all that bad, to be honest.  Maybe a Dutchman liner trim at the lunch break stopping point. And work full piece from the ceiling down the next day . However, with the high contrast, instantly antiquing the look of grout, with the black on white color choice. Which  They may have been able to salvage the shower with a grout removal. And maybe pop out and re-set a few of the tiles with lippage edges sticking out. But, the homeowner wanted it all removed and redone before Christmas. So, she got what she asked for. Tile shower wall prep over tub
