Bath remodel in Manchester, NH with subway tile shower and heated stone floor

Customer had a friend do drywall before we came to install tile for bathroom remodel in Manchester, New Hampshire.

He was interested in a heated floor. So we primed subfloor and poured a self leveling compound for a solid base.

Coated the walls with Red Guard membrane for waterproofing.

Installed subway tile for wall wainscoting level with tub line and a full tile at floor.

Tiled shower walls and included a profile trim on edging.

Rolled out a budget friendly heat mat. And Customer had his Dad tie electric into wall thermostat with a new breaker.

Installation of floor tile with 12x24 stone in a 50/50 brickset layout running bond. Used a rapid setting mortar and lippage clip system to maintain uniform grout lines and a flat, level floor.

Added some premium acrylic caulking to the corners of shower, around perimeter of ceiling, and tubline.

Used silicone adhesive to install powder coated metal frame for built-in wall niche.

Onto next job.

Done by a design/install team in Amherst, New Hampshire.  The grout color choice only highlighted the inconsistent lines of tile spacing by previous installer. Which, for setting all the tile pieces in just one day. Wasn't all that bad, to be honest.  Maybe a Dutchman liner trim at the lunch break stopping point. And work full piece from the ceiling down the next day . However, with the high contrast, instantly antiquing the look of grout, with the black on white color choice. Which  They may have been able to salvage the shower with a grout removal. And maybe pop out and re-set a few of the tiles with lippage edges sticking out. But, the homeowner wanted it all removed and redone before Christmas. So, she got what she asked for. Tile shower wall prep over tub
