This project was a ginormous bathroom remodel with a custom tiled shower and farmhouse style faux-wood porcelain tile floor.
Some great materials to work with. Picked out by homeowners, wife and Supervisor of plumber outfit, always "putting out fires" in Southern New Hampshire.
Shower prep for linear drain
A linear drain was desired. Using a Schluter pre-fabricated shower pan. Some custom mudwork was needed during prep phase to accommodate the larger floor layout of the enlarged newly framed shower stall.
Liquid waterproofing membrane was applied in 2 coats over all the wall board inside the shower area. And then the floor to wall transition was reinforced with waterproofing fabric around perimeter for an added layer of water protection.
The floor outside the shower was prepped in good old fiber cement board. Mortared down and screwed to manufacture spec.
Some drywall work was done around the bathroom.
