Loose pebble shower floor removed and new tile installed
Was called by homeowner about a pebble shower floor with loose stones in a master bathroom in Manchester, NH that they had remodeled about 5 years ago.
Remove old pebble stone shower floor
The tiles around drain were lifting. And the customer didn't care much for the look and maintenance in the odd sized grout gaps.
Removal of the old stone loose pebbles was done carefully to not damage existing drain or underlying substrate. Debris disposed.
Mud work prep to improve pitch to drain
Their old shower floor had a problem with sitting water pooling after use. So we improved the pitch to drain with some thicker mud floated around perimeter and then feather finished with a smoother slope.
Covered in 3 coatings of AquaDefense liquid waterproofing membrane. HydroBan sealant around the floor to wall transition.
They found a penny tile while shopping that they liked the look and feel of.
And Bostik NeverSeal urethane based grout was used to finish the tile installation of new shower floor in Manchester, New Hampshire home.
