Leaking tile shower repair in New Hampshire

Customer in Auburn, New Hampshire had a tile shower installed by another contractor less than a year ago and it already started leaking. Upon demolition, we uncovered that the curb area was not properly waterproofed. And also, the fabric around perimeter of the shower pan was pulling loose because it was not properly adhered. We did some surgical removal of the materials in shower pan. And removed the bottom first row of wall tile. We then cleaned the subfloor to remove any stinky odor the older leak may have caused. Then started to install prep for a waterproof shower pan solution for new tile. We installed Schluter Ditra uncoupling membrane over the original subfloor to create a barrier between the floor and the new mud pan. Some waterproof Kerdi fabric was installed over wood curb and the floor to wall transition around perimeter. A Portland cement mix was used to float a packed mud slope towards a new drain flange. Laticrete HydroBarrier waterproofing membrane was installed for 2

Third offset tile floor install in Manchester, New Hampshire

Installed 12x24 tile in Manchester, New Hampshire in a third offset layout over Ditra underlayment. A little challenge was maintaining same height in new tile floor with adjacent floors. And doorway threshold had to be custom cut and set at an angle, to sort of "ramp" up to higher set bathroom tile floor. We used a lippage clip system setting floor tile to maintain uniform grout widths and ensure a flat floor with no toe stubbers. We used Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA grout to finish the tile floor in a color complimentary to the base tone of the tile body.  If you're in Southern New Hampshire and interested in a quote for tiling your floor. Curbless shower remodel with 12x24 tile in Hudson, New Hampshire

Homeowner wanted a curbless shower for her master bath remodel in Hudson, New Hampshire. As she was elderly, and didn't want the nuisance of stepping over a curb every time she walked in shower. We removed a section of the existing subfloor to drop down a tray area to build a mud slope for the tile floor inside shower. We recessed sistered framing on existing floor joists. Braced the perimeter of subfloor around cutout. Then cut pieces of plywood to fit within the recessed areas. Thus, dropping the subfloor to the depth of top of joist. Then installed building paper and lath and mudded a slope for the shower pan towards a newly installed drain flange. We then taped and mudded seams of cement board and coated all the tile prep materials installed with 3 coats of Laticrete HydroBan. A prime coat the first day, and 2 additional coats the day after.  Customer asked if we could add a built-in wall niche. So we accommodated her request and framed that in to go with layout of the wall t
